Lachlan Moore
Lachlan Moore is a photographer based in Victoria, Australia. A father of two and husband, his work is defined by an honest, cinematic style shaped through decades on film sets as a Unit Stills Photographer, combined with a background in retouching, post-production and traditional darkroom practice.
Lach has worked across high-end Australian and international film and television productions, delivering stills, key art and publicity imagery. His credits include The Dispatcher (Apple TV), ROAR (Apple TV), Preacher (AMC), The Cry (BBC) and Ride Like a Girl. He is known for a refined eye, strong production awareness, and the ability to work discreetly in fast-moving, talent-sensitive environments.
Outside of set work, his photography is heavily influenced by coastal living—open space, shifting light and the ocean, often reflected in his personal work. “Summer is good, but winter is amazing. Low light and the migration of humpbacks past my back door is nothing short of magical.”
In recent years, Lach has also explored 1850s wet plate photography and restores turn-of-the-century large format cameras from his BACK SHED.
From mid-2026, Lach is NOW available on the Queensland Gold Coast as an 'interstate local' — no accommodation required.
Awards
In 2011 Lachlan was runner up in the worlds richest art prize' THE DOUG MORAN PHOTOGRAPHIC PRIZE' with his piece 'MOSSMAN GORGE - Monday Afternoon'
